Andrew Graham, CFA®
Founder, Managing Partner, Portfolio Manager
Andrew started Jackson Square Capital in 2019, after spending 17 years as a Portfolio Manager and Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Securities. During this time, Andrew also acted as Regional Director for J.P. Morgan Securities’ San Francisco and Seattle region. Previously, he was Senior Managing Director at Credit Suisse First Boston (2000-2002), which had acquired his prior firm, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (1988–2000). He began his ﬁnancial services career at Dean Witter in 1984 after earning his BA in Economics from the University of Colorado.
As Portfolio Manager, Andrew applies fundamental research and 39 years of extensive industry experience to manage customized portfolios across multiple asset classes. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) charter holder and his insights have been featured in WSJ, Forbes, Reuters and Barron’s.
His weekends are often spent with friends and family, including two college-age children.

Joy Budnik, CFP®
Joy graduated with honors from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a dual degree in Psychology and Sociology, and a minor in Education. She started her career in financial services when she joined Andrew’s team at J.P. Morgan Securities in January 2017, working as a Client Associate with a focus on the client experience. Her prior professional experience includes digital marketing for a Dutch software company.
Joy is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, who enjoys helping clients build flexible wealth plans to accomplish their most cherished goals. In addition to her client-facing role, Joy is focused on technology, privacy protection and the digital experience at JSC.
In her free time, Joy enjoys taking on creative projects and spending time with family and friends. She also volunteers as a teacher with the Bay Area Financial Education Foundation (BAFEF), which provides financial literacy programs in the San Francisco area.
Michael graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a degree in Finance and an emphasis in Business Law. After interning in the J.P. Morgan Securities Los Angeles office and working part-time for independent advisors while completing his senior year of classes, Michael started his professional career at J.P. Morgan Securities in 2016 as a Client Associate in San Francisco. During this time, he focused on fixed income securities and portfolio hedging. He now brings that focus to Jackson Square in monitoring client portfolios, while also heading the firm’s business development relationships.
Michael works directly with clients in all facets of the ﬁrm’s capabilities in wealth advice, investment management, and executive services. He directs the client on-boarding process, provides ongoing account maintenance and responds to all client service requests.
A Northern California native now living in Oakland, Michael enjoys golf, long-distance cycling, soccer, and spending time with his puppy in his free time.
Chief Compliance Officer
Stacy ensures all areas of compliance for our practice. She has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry, 12 of which are in the field of compliance. She has worked with broker-dealers, investment advisors, and institutional clients at CitiGroup, Smith Barney, D.A. Davidson, and M Securities. Her background in compliance and regulatory audits; and her passion for organization are tremendous assets to Jackson Square. “I enjoy taking the fear of doing something wrong with regulators off the shoulders of advisors.”
An Oregon native, Stacy, her husband, and teenage daughter reside in Portland and are an avid basketball family.
Jack graduated from Colorado College with a degree in mathematical economics. While attending, he played for their basketball team, serving as captain his junior and senior years, and was also a member of the investment club. Before Jackson Square Capital, Jack interned at Third Avenue Management where he conducted equity research for their small cap value fund.
Jack’s knowledge of fundamental analysis is an asset for the team as he conducts research and assists with trading.
A San Diego native, Jack now lives in San Francisco where he enjoys playing basketball, reading and spending time with friends and family.
Max graduated from the University of California at Davis in 2019 with a bachelors degree in Communications, played on the football team and earned a master’s degree in Professional Accountancy in 2020. Before starting with JSC in May 2022, Max began his professional career as an Auditor in the Financial Services industry for PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Max uses his prior background and experience to assist in tax planning and maintaining compliance.
A native to Northern California currently living in San Francisco, Max enjoys hiking, fitness, Giants baseball games, and playing in recreational kickball leagues with his friends.
Dana made her stage debut at the age of ten in San Francisco and has been involved in the entertainment industry ever since. She earned her degree in drama from USC, is the author of a children’s book and loves to paint. She raised three boys (ages 20, 23 and 27) and brings all the skills of motherhood to her role as JSC office manager.
When she is not managing the office, Dana enjoys hiking, yoga and cooking.
