Morning Notes — Inflation Expectations

The S&P 500 will likely stay range bound until there’s a more obvious deceleration in inflation.  May inflation data (received in June) is when we should see official inflation data show deceleration.  Inflation first spiked in May ’21 after vaccination rates led to a meaningful jump in mobility with increased spending on goods and a sharp increase in services spending.
